FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) – Six people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Frankfort Tuesday morning, and one person involved was cited for wanton endangerment.

Officers were dispatched to Versailles Road just after 7 a.m., according to the Frankfort Police Department.

Investigators found that a Chevrolet Silverado traveling east collided with a Nissan that failed to yield to the Silverado when making a left turn.

Six people were taken to the hospital. Two were flown to University of Kentucky Hospital for treatment. No update was provided on the condition of those involved in the crash.

An occupant in the Nissan was cited with four counts of second-degree wanton endangerment after four children in the car were found not to be wearing safety restraints.
