‘We Are Not Related to Jacob Zuma’ Jacinta Ngobese Takes a Swipe at News24

In a playful jab at News24, Jacinta Ngobese suggested that the publication’s biggest letdown was probably not finding out that she and her associates are not related to Jacob Zuma, the former president of South Africa.

“It was devastating to learn that we are not related to Jacob Zuma!!” Ngobese wrote in a critical social media post.

Her comment seemed to poke fun at the media’s fixation on a supposed relationship between her and the former president’s family, implying that the publication had given too much weight to an unfounded rumor.

Ngobese refrained from elaborating on the particular report or investigation that prompted the remark. Nonetheless, it seemed like her post was an attempt to deflect the media’s attention away from her and Zuma.

Ngobese and her associations have been the subject of media attention, and this exchange contributes to that discussion. Her sarcastic and humorous remarks were a direct reaction to the assumption that she would be associated with the ex-president due to their shared family history.

The public pays close attention to reports involving Zuma, his family, political allies, and associates because of his continued prominence in South African politics.

Ngobese did not provide a thorough explanation of the circumstances surrounding the alleged connection in her statement; instead, she concentrated on criticizing News24.

No word yet on whether News24 has addressed her comments.
