“The real danger right now is not the AI’s getting out of control. We need to work on that, but that’s years away in terms of the big impact that might have,” he said.

A former senior journalist with the British Broadcasting Corporation, Gbolahan Peter Macjob, has been appointed spokesperson to former senator Iyabo Obasanjo, in a move that brings an experienced media professional into the former lawmaker’s communications team.

Macjob, who has worked with the BBC, is expected to draw on his journalism and media experience in communicating Obasanjo’s positions, activities and public engagements.

His professional profile and published work indicate experience in broadcast journalism, including contributions to BBC reporting. His appointment comes amid renewed political activity involving Obasanjo, the daughter of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
