Spurs striker Omar Marmoush has been convicted and fined by a court after failing to insure his McLaren supercar.
The 27-year-old Premier League footballer, who joined Tottenham on loan from Manchester City this season, has been prosecuted by the DVLA over the unpaid bill on his sports car.
Court papers show Marmoush was issued with a fixed penalty fine on June 17 when officials noticed that the McLaren 720S, worth an estimated £250,000, had not been insured or declared off the road.
When he did not pay the fine to settle the matter out of court, the DVLA brought a full criminal prosecution.

Documents show that the DVLA attempted to contact Marmoush at the luxury apartment in Manchester city centre where he had been living before the switch to London.
His loan to Spurs, which comes with an obligation to buy him for £60 million at the end of the season, was announced at the end of August.
He was part of Egypt’s World Cup squad this summer, and scored 10 goals for Manchester City after joining in January 2025.
The striker was prosecuted through the Single Justice Procedure, a fast-track court process which deals with criminal cases behind closed doors.
He did not enter a plea to the charge or respond to the papers sent to him by the DVLA.
