Show Me The Payment Records — Tribe Culture CEO Fires Back At Kofi Adams Over US$611,000 Claims

The Chief Executive Officer of Tribe Culture Fest, Nana Boateng Gyimah, has denied allegations that he or his organisation illegally received US$611,000 and refused to refund the money, challenging the Minister for Sports, Hon. Kofi Adams, to provide evidence to support the claims. He described the allegations as unsubstantiated and warned that they could damage his reputation and the integrity of the organisation.

In a statement issued on October 12, 2026, under the heading “Response to the Sports Minister’s Allegations,” Gyimah categorically rejected the claims attributed to the minister. He maintained that Tribe Culture Fest’s agreement concerning the arrangements in question was solely with the National Sports Authority (NSA) and the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA).

According to Gyimah, neither he nor Tribe Culture Fest received the alleged US$611,000 from any private individual in connection with the arrangements. He therefore questioned the basis of the allegations and demanded that the minister produce documents establishing the purported financial transaction.

The Tribe Culture Fest CEO challenged Kofi Adams to provide any agreement, authorisation or consent involving him or the organisation that could substantiate the claims. He also called for verifiable payment records identifying the person who made the payment, the recipient, the date of the transaction and the basis for arriving at the US$611,000 figure.

Gyimah stressed that allegations of financial impropriety should not be made publicly without supporting evidence. He argued that the claims could undermine his personal reputation and the credibility of Tribe Culture Fest if they were allowed to circulate without clarification.

He called on the Sports Minister to substantiate the allegations or withdraw them and correct the public record. Gyimah further warned that failure to address the matter could result in his lawyers taking steps to deal with the issue.

The statement represents Gyimah’s response to the allegations attributed to the minister. The details of the disputed financial arrangement and the evidence supporting either side’s position were not provided in the statement.
