Sharon Police charge Campbell woman with shooting

SHARON – Police are looking for a Campbell woman charged with a Sunday shooting incident in Sharon.

Sharon Police Chief Edward Stabile told 21 News that officers were called to the 200 block of Mesabi St. just after noon to investigate a report that someone had fired a gunshot at someone.

Police say they were told that a female had fired a gun at a victim. However, no one was struck by gunfire.

Chief Stabile said the suspect, who fled the scene following the shooting, has been identified as 29-year-old Mandashia Young of Campbell.

Police filed six charges against Young, including criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, recklessly endangering another person, and carrying an unlicensed firearm.

As of early Monday, Young was still at large. Stabile said that Young should be considered armed and dangerous, and no one other than law enforcement should attempt to approach or apprehend Young.
