She grew up in the Golden Age of Hollywood with iconic screen legends Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart as parents.

But despite being introduced to a life of glitz and glam from the day she was born, the couple’s only daughter, Leslie Bogart, ended up choosing a much quieter life far removed from showbiz.

Now, The Big Sleep stars’ rarely seen offspring has been spotted in public for the first time in years – and she is the spitting image of her late mom, the Daily Mail can reveal.

Soaking up the sunshine, a silver-haired Leslie, who has been married to her yoga instructor husband, Erich Schiffmann, for the past three decades, kept a low profile for the outing.

The brief glimpse into Leslie’s everyday life is a far cry from her childhood days when she would traipse across the globe, accompanying her parents – ‘Bogie and Bacall’ – to film sets, photo shoots and everything in between.

Leslie, named after her dad’s close friend, actor Leslie Howard, is the youngest of the ‘Dark Passage’ stars’ two children.

She and her brother, Stephen Bogart, were routinely snapped by paparazzi when they were youngsters trailing behind in the shadows of their famous parents.

Bacall and Bogart met on the set of their 1944 film ‘To Have and Have Not’ and their romance quickly cemented their status as one of the most famous Hollywood couples of all time.

With a 25-year age gap, Bogie and Bacall starred alongside each other in films, threw all-night parties at their home, mingled with the likes of Frank Sinatra and formed a gang of partygoers known as the Holmby Hills Rat Pack.

Naturally, the interest in them and their young family knew no bounds.

Aside from the relentless paparazzi, the couple gave their children a taste of the limelight themselves when they welcomed CBS cameras for a tour of their home back in 1954.

After they finished showing off their abode to journalist Edward R Murrow, Bacall brought Stephen and Leslie into frame.

The interest in Bacall and Bogart’s kids only escalated after their father died of cancer in 1957, when Leslie was just five and her brother aged eight.

While Leslie has been tight-lipped about her upbringing and famous parents, her brother has given the rare interview over the years.

‘It was his death, rather than his life, that was the problem for me,’ Stephen told the New York Times in 1995 of his father, adding that the constant presence of cameras trailing them was overwhelming.

‘When he died, it brought the attention on us,’ he added. ‘I hated it. I didn’t want my picture taken anymore.’

Still, in the years after their father’s passing, Leslie routinely accompanied her mom to various sets and was front and center at red carpet events as a baby-faced teen.

But as an adult, Leslie’s appearances grew less frequent.

Photos show her attending the Academy Awards back in 1997 and a ceremony that same year where a commemorative postage stamp honoring her late father was unveiled.

One of Leslie’s last known public appearances alongside her mom and brother was at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Governors Awards Gala back in 2009.

Sightings have been slim and dried up entirely following her mother’s death in 2014.

Leslie, who tied the knot with her yogi husband back in 1990, has no children. Her brother, meanwhile, has been married three times and has three kids: a son from his first marriage and a daughter and son from his second.

They have a half-brother, actor Sam Robards, from their mother’s second marriage to All the President’s Men actor Jason Robards. The pair wed in 1961 but divorced eight years later.

When Bacall died in 2014, most of her $26.6 million estate was split between her three children.

In her will, Bacall requested specifically that her kids ‘respect my wish to keep private certain personal letters, writings, diaries and other papers or memorabilia.’
