The initiative aims to strengthen coordination between public and private institutions, encourage responsible environmental practices and increase awareness of Punjab’s growing ecological challenges. It will also provide a platform for engaging stakeholders and supporting initiatives aimed at building climate resilience.

Potential areas of cooperation include improving air quality, reducing smog, conserving water, managing waste, protecting biodiversity and encouraging green innovation. The framework also seeks to involve industry representatives, academic institutions, young people and civil society in environmental initiatives.

The collaboration is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 13 on climate action, SDG 12 on responsible consumption and production, and SDG 17 on partnerships for sustainable development.

Speaking at the event, Rabel Sadozai, Director Marketing and Sales at Fatima Fertilizer, said addressing environmental challenges required collective action, practical measures and cooperation across different sectors. She emphasised the importance of raising awareness, promoting responsible practices and translating sustainability commitments into tangible outcomes.
