PML-N lawmakers criticise KP govt over security, governance
ABBOTTABAD – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmakers on Sunday criticised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government over the province’s law and order situation, terrorism and alleged governance failures, holding a rally and distributing sweets following the imposition of an emergency in the province. Addressing a press conference at the Abbottabad Press Club, MNA Dr Shaista Jadoon said terrorism, worsening law and order and poor governance had made life increasingly difficult for residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
She alleged that Chief Minister Sohail Afridi was concentrating on political activities outside the province instead of addressing public concerns at home. She said security personnel were sacrificing their lives in the fight against terrorism, while the provincial government had failed to respond adequately to the security challenges. Dr Jadoon also criticised the provincial government’s performance in healthcare, education and infrastructure.

Questioning opposition-led political protests, she alleged that young people were being exposed to risks during demonstrations while political leaders remained removed from their consequences.
MPAs Aamna Sardar, Syeda Shehla Shah and Faiza Malik also attended the press conference and voiced concerns over the province’s security situation and the provincial government’s performance.
