LHC orders bailiff to recover Javed Hashmi’s daughter in alleged detention case

The Lahore High Court’s Multan Bench appointed a bailiff party to recover Advocate Amna Javed Hashmi, daughter of senior politician Javed Hashmi, following a petition alleging that she was being detained at her residence without any registered case.

Justice Tariq Nadeem heard the petition filed by Tanveer Alam Hashmi, seeking the recovery of Amna Javed Hashmi from alleged unlawful detention.

According to the petitioner, Amna was being detained at her residence within the jurisdiction of Gulgasht Police Station despite no criminal case having been registered against her.

During the hearing, the court appointed a bailiff party to visit the residence and secure her recovery.

However, when the High Court’s bailiff party reached the residence, Amna Javed Hashmi was not present.

The court adjourned further proceedings on the petition until October 13.
