JJ Gabriel drops hint over next club as Man Utd wonderkid shares training footage

According to a report by The Sun on Monday October 12, 2026, Manchester United youngster JJ Gabriel has sparked speculation about his future after sharing training videos on social media while wearing Inter Milan shorts.

The 16-year-old is reportedly keen to leave Old Trafford after plans to hand him a senior debut in the Carabao Cup against Brighton were shelved.

Gabriel recently uploaded two videos of himself working out in the gym on Instagram Stories, with the teenager wearing black Inter Milan shorts from the 2024-25 season.

His choice of clothing has raised questions about whether the Italian club could be a potential destination, although there is no confirmation of any move or negotiations with Inter.

The youngster has also reportedly removed Manchester United references from his Instagram biography, further fuelling speculation about his future.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his situation, Gabriel has continued to impress at youth level. He has scored twice in two Under-21 appearances and also netted a hat-trick in a UEFA Youth League clash against Azerbaijani side Sabah.

Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with the highly rated attacker, whose representatives are reportedly seeking a seven-figure salary.

Manchester United could receive around £350,000 in compensation if Gabriel moves abroad, while a move to another Premier League club could earn the Red Devils at least £3 million, depending on a tribunal’s decision.

However, Gabriel’s appearance in Inter Milan shorts remains only a possible clue rather than confirmation of his preferred destination, with his future at Manchester United still uncertain.
