…Agboke hails outgoing official’s professionalism, administrative expertise
The Independent National Electoral Commission in Ondo State has celebrated its outgoing Administrative Secretary, Mrs Adenike Tadese, for her professionalism and contributions to the commission following her redeployment to Lagos State.
Tadese was honoured at a farewell gathering on Monday, led by the Ondo State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Mutiu Agboke, who described her as one of the finest administrative secretaries he had worked with.
The development comes as Mrs Temitayo Victoria Adelusi assumes duty as the new Administrative Secretary in Ondo State, ensuring continuity in the commission’s administrative operations.
Speaking at the farewell gathering, Agboke described transfers and redeployments as normal features of the public service, noting that the commission had considered it appropriate to move Tadese to Lagos State for her new assignment.
The REC commended the outgoing official for her wealth of experience, professionalism and contributions to the commission, expressing confidence that she would bring the same qualities to bear on her responsibilities in Lagos.
In her response, the outgoing administrative secretary expressed gratitude to God for sustaining her throughout her career with the commission.
She admitted that the redeployment came at a time she had least expected it but said she appreciated the opportunity to serve in Ondo State.
Tadese particularly acknowledged Agboke’s leadership, noting that their cordial working relationship had made it easier for her to discharge her responsibilities.
She also appreciated the Electoral Officers and other staff members for their cooperation and support during her one-year stay in the state, describing their contributions as instrumental to making her experience memorable.
The farewell gathering featured the presentation of gifts to Tadese by the management team, the Electoral Officers’ Forum, the Voter Education and Publicity Department, among other groups.
A special prayer session was also held for divine guidance, protection and success in her new assignment in Lagos State.
Tadese was commended for her composure, attention to detail, administrative resourcefulness and commitment to doing what was right, qualities that earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues during her service in Ondo State.
