Femi Falana Reacts As Umahi Says President Tinubu Told Him To Divert Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway
Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana has reacted after the federal government of Nigeria announced that the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway will be diverted.
The statement of Femi Falana was contained in a video that was posted on the official X handle of News Central TV on Monday, October 12, 2026.
This is coming after the Minister of Works, David Umahi said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered him to divert the road from the coast line to the East West route.
However, in the video that surfaced online, Femi Falana criticized the decision of the federal government to divert the road. He said the decision was made because the government can no longer fund it.
“We are not asking questions and that is why anybody does whatever he likes in the country. The coastal road has now become land road. After Ogun state, they said they are going to Edo state by land because they can’t fund it”.
