BAT: Why Don’t You Give Crude Oil To Dangote And It’ll Refine And Give Directly To Nigerians-Okonkwo

A report that was published on the official X account of Channels TV on Monday, October 12, 2026 has captured the moment one of the chieftains of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Kenneth Okonkwo was speaking about the fuel discount policy introduced by the federal government.

This came after the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced a 30 day discount policy on fuel dispensed by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC.

In the statement that surfaced online, Kenneth Okonkwo criticized the policy of the federal government. He said the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should give crude oil to Dangote Company so that the company can refine and give directly to Nigerians.

The ADC chieftain stated that it’s the shipping of crude oil that is making petrol to be expensive.

According to Channels TV, Kenneth Okonkwo said;

“Why do you not just give the crude directly to Dangote and Dangote will refine it and give it directly to Nigerians”.
