Bank of Ghana Announces Official Daily Exchange Rates for Monday, October 12, 2026

The Bank of Ghana has announced its daily exchange rates for Monday, October 12, 2026, providing the latest buying and selling rates for the US dollar, British pound sterling and euro.

According to the figures published by the central bank, the rates represent the average interbank exchange rates used by commercial banks for transactions at the close of business on Friday, October 9, 2026.

The US dollar is buying at GH₵11.7841 and selling at GH₵11.7959. This means that the buying rate is slightly lower than the selling rate.

The rates provide an indication of the value of the US dollar against the Ghanaian cedi in the interbank market. Individuals and businesses that deal in foreign currencies can use the figures as a reference when monitoring exchange rate movements.

The British pound sterling is buying at GH₵15.5892 and selling at GH₵15.6048.

The pound remains the highest-valued currency among the three currencies listed in the Bank of Ghana’s latest exchange rate update. The figures show the rates at which the currency is bought and sold in the interbank market.

The euro is buying at GH₵13.1922 and selling at GH₵13.2031.

The latest figures provide an important reference for individuals and businesses involved in transactions with European countries. The exchange rate is also relevant to importers, travellers and other people who require euros for international transactions.

The daily exchange rates published by the Bank of Ghana help provide information about the value of major foreign currencies against the Ghanaian cedi.

However, the rates offered by commercial banks, forex bureaus and other currency dealers may differ from the central bank’s published figures. The actual rate available to customers may depend on the institution and the type of transaction.

Ghanaians are therefore encouraged to check with their respective financial institutions before making foreign currency transactions.

The Bank of Ghana continues to publish exchange rate information to support transparency and provide market participants with a reference for monitoring currency movements.
