Adenta MP to Residents: The Road Isn’t Finished Yet β€” Final Sealing Coming Soon

The Member of Parliament for the Adenta Constituency Mohammed Adamu Ramadan has assured residents that he will ensure quality road is delivered to the people especially on the Dzata Junction through to Atta Maame Chop Bar to Rowi Road.

The MP gave the assurance when he toured the project sites to inspect progress of the work.

Addressing concerns raised by residents regarding the durability of the initial bitumen layer applied to the stretch, he said what the residents were complaining about constitute only the initial surfacing adding that more layers would be added.

Residents of the constituency had expressed skepticism about the work done so far, particularly on the critical stretch linking Dzata Junction through to Atta Maame Chop Bar, extending to the Rowi Road. The complaints centered on the thin nature of the initial surface, with many fearing that the contractor was engaging in “shoddy work” that would deteriorate quickly.

However, Hon. Ramadan explained that the current state of the road is part of a standard two-phase sealing process. He clarified that the first layer, which residents observed, was merely a primer and not the final surface.

“The work done so far is only the first sealing,” the MP explained to a gathering of constituents. “The second and final sealing will be done within two to three weeks to complete the work on the road. This is the standard procedure to ensure the road stands the test of time.”

He further emphasized that his office is committed to ensuring the contractor delivers a durable road network for the people of Adenta, stating that he would not accept anything less than quality infrastructure.

“I want to assure every resident that there will be no shoddy work on this road. We are committed to quality, and I will personally monitor the progress until the final layer is laid,” he added.

The completion of the Dzata Junction to Rowi Road project is expected to significantly ease vehicular movement and reduce the dust and flooding issues that have plagued the area in recent months.

The final sealing is expected to commence in the coming weeks, bringing relief to motorists and traders along the busy corridor.
