Aaron Rodgers may own Bears, but Packers’ Jordan Love now owns new Lambeau Field record vs. bitter rival

Aaron Rodgers famously declared that he owned the Chicago Bears, but Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love now has a record of his own against the franchise’s biggest rival. Love delivered a historic performance during the Packers’ 31-7 victory over Chicago at Lambeau Field on Sunday.

Love completed 25 of 31 passes for 367 yards and two touchdowns without an interception. His passing total set a franchise record for the most yards by a Packers quarterback against the Bears in a game at Lambeau Field.

The performance gave Love another milestone in the longstanding rivalry. His 137.5 passer rating reflected an efficient afternoon against a Chicago defense that struggled to contain Green Bay’s passing attack.

Christian Watson emerged as Love’s biggest target, catching two touchdown passes for 42 and 53 yards. Watson finished with 143 receiving yards, while Matthew Golden contributed another 123 yards.

The Packers also benefited from a dominant defensive performance. Chicago committed five turnovers, allowing Green Bay to control the game and build a comfortable second-half advantage.

Rodgers became synonymous with the rivalry during his years in Green Bay, famously shouting “I still own you!” towards Bears fans in 2021. Love’s latest accomplishment adds another chapter to the Packers’ quarterback legacy against Chicago, having previously celebrated his first victory over the Bears as Green Bay’s starter.

The blowout also intensified attention on the rivalry between coaches Matt LaFleur and Ben Johnson, with LaFleur’s late-game decisions drawing notice.

Green Bay improved to 3-2 with the victory, matching Chicago’s record. For Love, the afternoon provided another memorable achievement against a familiar opponent.
