1 dead, 1 critical after shooting in Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A homicide investigation is underway after one man died and one woman is in critical condition following a shooting Sunday afternoon.

Fresno police say officers responded to a shooting victim call around 2:20 p.m. near Fordham and Dayton avenues.

Officers arrived and found a man in his 50s with a gunshot wound, along with his wife, according to officials.

The man passed away, while his wife is in the hospital in critical condition, according to police. There were multiple children in the home during the shooting, but none were injured.

There is no suspect information and detectives are still investigating the scene.
