We Ignored You in the Past, Bawumia Won’t—Karbo to Angry NPP Businessmen
Anthony Karbo, a member of the New Patriotic Party’s Elections Committee, has pleaded with the middle class that decided not to vote for the NPP in 2024 to forgive the party.
He says the party has learned lessons and will not repeat what it did while in power for eight years under Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Speaking on Accra-based OKAY FM, the former Member of Parliament said the current flagbearer listens and will not disappoint them if they return to support the party.
“To our businessmen and party members who did not vote in 2024, we seek your forgiveness. We did not listen to you, but we are sorry for doing that. You have been the backbone of the party, so forgive us and bring us back to power to correct our ills.
The man we have elected to lead us is a listening person and will not disregard you people. He is an intelligent man who wants the best for Ghana and will work to make life better for the Ghanaian people, so please come back and support us,” he said while pleading with aggrieved party folks.
He used the opportunity to plead with the Ashanti Region, saying that whatever the party did that did not speak well of it should be forgiven.
“We should all come back and support our flagbearer and the party so that we can work and unite the party in order to bring back everyone on board to help win power for the political party in 2028,” he said.
