Tori Spelling looks unrecognizable in childhood photos that have to be seen to be believed

LEAVE A COMMENT Tori Spelling is sharing a glimpse into her larger than life childhood — with some head-turning photos.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 actress grew up in Los Angeles, raised by parents Candy and Aaron Spelling, the latter being one of Hollywood's most prolific producers. When she was 17, the family moved into the famed Spelling Manor, which is larger than the Taj Mahal.

And in honor of the Dancing With The Stars alum's brother Randy Spelling's birthday, she shared a slew of photos of the two as kids.

Taking to Instagram, Tori first shared a series of candid selfies with Randy, followed by a photo of the two with four of her five children, who she shares with ex-husband Dean McDermott.

Among the many photos throughout the years were some dating back to the 1970s, in which Tori looks unrecognizable with short brown hair, a far cry from her now signature platinum blonde, and bangs.

"A selfie fail that somehow became my favorite picture of us," Tori then wrote. "Because THIS is us."

"Happy Birthday to my little big brother @randyspelling . My Genie. My blonde pea. My lifetime best friend. My partner in ridiculousness and business. The human that knows how to make me laugh like no one else can," she continued.

"I love that no matter what's going on in our lives, we can always find our way back to this. Us being us," Tori added. "Love you beyond words, always!"

Fans were then quick to take to the comments section under the post and gush over the photos, with one writing: "You both look just like your dad," as others followed suit with: "This is what I wish every brother sister relationship could look like. It's the best thing and bond," and: "Love seeing all these pics!!" as well as: "LOVE the family pics."

Randy is now a life coach after retiring from acting. He has been married to Leah Stutz since 2010, and the couple share two daughters.

He and Tori spent their young adult years growing up in the massive mansion that their father built in 1988, a 56,500 square feet French chateau-style mansion with 123 rooms (27 bathrooms and 14 bedrooms) on 4.68 acres of land.

The home, larger than the Taj Mahal and the White House, was sold to F1 heiress Petra Ecclestone in 2011, and since 2025, it has been owned by Google CEO Eric Schmidt.
