The strongest cold front of the season is coming

Our Saints Sunday will be very pleasant, with a dewpoint temperature close to 60° in most locations. Sunday will be a few degrees warmer than Saturday, and it will also be a bit less breezy, so it will feel somewhat warmer. Saturday the high temperature was 81°, but today we should get into the mid 80s for the afternoon high,

As a ridge of high-pressure builds at the upper level of the atmosphere, our warming trend gets into a higher gear next week. High temperatures by mid-week could be close to 90°, and we could tie a few record highs as well. However, a strong cold front will arrive on Friday, and although that front won’t bring us any chance for rain, it will cool our temperatures down significantly for the upcoming weekend. It should be in the 70s in the afternoon, and morning lows could be as cold as the 40s on the north shore Sunday morning. Even though this front will move through on Friday, it has very little moisture to work with, so the chance for rain will stay low all this week.

In the tropics, there is one area of cloudiness that came off the coast of Africa with a small chance for development, but otherwise the tropics are quiet.
