Suspect at large after fatal Shreveport hit-and-run
SHREVEPORT, La. – Shreveport police officers are seeking the public’s help identifying a driver who caused a fatal hit-and-run crash Saturday night.
Christopher Worley, 61, died after being hit by an SUV in the 1800 block of North Market Street near Nelson Street, according to the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated man walking in the roadway when the crash occurred. The driver left the scene without stopping.
A witness reported seeing the man walking in the southbound lane of North Market Street shortly before the crash.
An autopsy has been ordered, and the death remains under investigation.
