It comes a week after Chris Appleton became the first famous face to leave this year's competition. The result is broadcast on Sunday nights but is pre-recorded the day before, following the live episode. A source from the Strictly audience has now reportedly confirmed the spoiler on social media, but Express.co.uk has chosen not to name them.
The battle for this year's Glitterball Trophy stepped up a gear on Saturday night as the remaining 13 couples returned to the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom. Contestants performed a range of routines including the salsa, samba, waltz and Cha Cha Cha in a bid to impress the judges and avoid finding themselves in next week's dance-off.
Those watching at home claimed the result was expected while they showed concern for the other celeb in the dance-off. One social media user wrote on X: "I expected that bottom 2 but thought the other outcome would happen." Another commented: "Correct result." A third remarked: "It was the right decision." Another agreed: "Sadly not much of a surprise, was expecting this." A fifth shared: "Glad there was no shock tonight." Someone else echoed: "Not surprised by that one."
Australian singer Delta Goodrem topped the leaderboard with professional partner Kai Widdrington after their salsa earned 33 points. It was the second week running that the pair had topped the leader board.
Behind them were Tabby Stoecker, a British and Olympic skeleton racer, and dance partner Mark Karmalita, who were awarded with 31 points for their tango.
Graeme Hall and Lauren Oakley got a score of 25 for their jive, while YouTuber John Nellis and Katya Jones received 20 for their cha cha cha.
Dame Sarah Storey and Julian Caillon, Melanie Walters and Aljaz Skorjanec and Shaun Wright-Phillips alongside Alexis Warr were the three pairings at the bottom of the leaderboard.
Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight at 7.15pm on BBC One.
