Sowore Shares 1989 Throwback and Recent Photo Alongside Message About Achieving Greatness

Omoyele Sowore has shared photographs showing his appearance in 1989 and 2026, accompanying the images with a message encouraging people to pursue their ambitions despite discouragement from others.

The activist posted the two pictures on his official X account on Sunday, October 11, 2026, giving followers a glimpse of his appearance 37 years apart.

In the older photograph, Sowore stands outdoors wearing a short-sleeved shirt and light-coloured trousers. The recent picture shows him in a white shirt, cream trousers, dark sunglasses and a wristwatch.

Alongside the images, Sowore urged people not to let other people’s expectations determine what they can achieve.

“Dream big, dare to achieve greatness, and accomplish the extraordinary things they once told you were never meant for someone like you,” he wrote.

The post also featured the hashtag #Sowore2027, drawing attention to his political ambition ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general election.
