Six young talents Barcelona are closely monitoring including Manchester United star

According to a report by Barca Universal on Sunday October 11, 2026, Barcelona are closely monitoring six promising young footballers, including Manchester United youngster JJ Gabriel, as the Spanish giants continue their search for emerging talents across the international market.

According to Barca Universal, Barcelona are looking to identify talented players early in their careers as part of a recruitment strategy led by sporting director Deco and head of scouting Joao Amaral.

The Catalan club want to secure the services of promising youngsters before their market values increase significantly, allowing them to develop at the club and potentially become important members of the first team.

The recent signings of Hamza Abdelkarim and Jesse Bisiwu reflect Barcelona’s commitment to recruiting emerging talents, with six other players now attracting attention from the club.

JJ Gabriel is among the most prominent names on Barcelona’s radar. The 16-year-old Manchester United youngster has reportedly declined to sign his first professional contract with the Premier League club, attracting interest from Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

Gabriel’s representatives are reportedly open to the possibility of a move to Spain, although the youngster has yet to decide between Barcelona and Real Madrid.

However, Barcelona could face financial competition to secure his signature. The overall cost of a potential deal, including wages, commissions and compensation, could reach at least €10 million.

Another player attracting Barcelona’s attention is Josh King, the 19-year-old Fulham midfielder who has made encouraging progress with the Premier League side.

King’s performances under manager Alvaro Arbeloa have reportedly strengthened his reputation, with two goals in his first five appearances and more than 400 minutes of playing time highlighting his growing importance.

Barcelona are not alone in monitoring the youngster, as Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid have also been linked with an interest in his development.

Gabriel Rajkovic is another emerging talent on the Spanish club’s list. The 15-year-old forward, who plays for Norwegian side Valerenga, has already made first-team appearances despite his young age.

Rajkovic attracted significant attention after becoming the youngest goalscorer in the history of Norway’s top flight at 15 years, five months and 15 days.

Barcelona are also keeping a close eye on Brazilian defender Arthur Dias, who is regarded highly by the club’s scouting department.

The 19-year-old left-footed defender captained Brazil at the 2025 South American Under-20 Championship, helping his country win the competition.

His performances have also reportedly earned him a call-up to Brazil’s senior squad under Carlo Ancelotti.

Meanwhile, Palmeiras attacker Eduardo Conceicao remains a player Barcelona are monitoring despite previously stepping away from the possibility of signing him.

The 16-year-old Brazilian is admired for his versatility, as he can operate as a left winger, attacking midfielder or forward.

Barcelona had reportedly held discussions with his representatives after Deco explored the possibility of bringing him to the club. However, competition from English clubs and the financial demands involved made a deal difficult to complete.

Although the Catalans withdrew from the bidding, they continue to follow his development.

The sixth player on the list is Cavan Sullivan, the 17-year-old attacking midfielder at Philadelphia Union who has established himself as one of the most exciting young prospects in American football.

Sullivan has reportedly recorded seven goals and 12 assists this season, while his performances have further increased his reputation as a player with considerable attacking potential.
