Prophet Iddrissu Predicts Bawumia’s Defeat in 2028, Issues Chilling Warning to Election Riggers
Prophet Thomas Iddrissu has predicted that former Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, will not become Ghana’s president after the 2028 general elections.
The prophet made the prediction during an encounter with President John Dramani Mahama and his delegation in the Ahafo Region. A video of the engagement was shared by Ghbrain on October 10, 2026.
According to Prophet Iddrissu, Dr Bawumia will not secure victory in the upcoming presidential election, despite being the NPP’s flagbearer for the crucial national contest.
He reportedly expressed strong confidence in his prediction, challenging traditional leaders to take action against him if his prophecy does not come to pass after the elections.
The prophet went further by daring traditional authorities to drive him away from his place of worship should events prove his prediction wrong. His remarks underscored the certainty with which he presented his forecast.
Beyond his prediction about Dr Bawumia, Prophet Iddrissu also expressed support for President Mahama, encouraging Ghanaians to vote for the sitting president again in the 2028 general elections.
He indicated that he would continue praying for President Mahama’s long life, good health and strength as he carries out his responsibilities as head of state.
However, the prophet’s remarks took a more serious turn when he issued a warning concerning individuals who might attempt to manipulate the results of the 2028 elections.
He warned police officers and other individuals who could be involved in election rigging that they would face death. The statement formed part of his broader comments on the forthcoming national polls.
The warning comes as political attention gradually shifts towards the 2028 elections, with parties and political figures expected to intensify preparations ahead of the contest.
Ghana’s electoral process remains a critical part of its democratic system, with the Electoral Commission responsible for conducting elections and announcing official results.
Although Prophet Iddrissu presented his prediction with confidence, his claims remain a personal prophecy rather than an established fact. The outcome of the 2028 presidential election will ultimately be determined by voters and the officially declared results.
His comments were made during President Mahama’s second-day engagement in the Ahafo Region as part of the government’s Resetting Ghana Agenda tour.
The tour is intended to bring the president and his delegation into contact with communities and stakeholders across the region as they engage on issues concerning governance and national development.
Prophet Iddrissu’s remarks have added another dimension to conversations surrounding the 2028 elections, particularly regarding Dr Bawumia’s political prospects and President Mahama’s possible re-election bid.
