Pre-workout powder recalled over illegal stimulant. Here’s what it is and how to get a refund
(CNN) – A popular pre-workout powder is being recalled because it contains an illegal ingredient that can raise blood pressure and lead to cardiovascular problems.
During testing, Food and Drug Administration officials found that Rapture Pre-workout contained DMAA, a derivative of amphetamine.
Three flavors of Rapture Pre-workout are included in the voluntary recall: Rainbow Twist, Electric Lemonade and Berry Mojito.
The product was sold at retailers and online between January and May.
Consumers who have the product should stop using it immediately and return it for a full refund.
Manufacturer Leader Formulas LLC says there have been no reports of adverse reactions.
