Poverty Robbed Me of School, Not Talent – Don Little

Prominent Ghanaian actor Don Little, born Stephen Atanga, has revealed how financial hardship affected his education, saying poverty made it hard for him to attend school regularly before he completed Junior High School in 2011.

Speaking about his upbringing on UTV, monitored by MyNewsGh.com, the actor said his schooling was repeatedly interrupted because his family could not consistently afford to support his education.

He explained that when he stayed away from school for extended periods and later returned, he sometimes had to repeat a class, which made his journey to completing junior high school longer than expected.

Don Little said he preferred private school to public school because he believed in his creative abilities and wanted an environment that suited his talents.

“I have that creative mind. I like to create and fix things,” he said, describing his interest in making and repairing things.

Despite the difficulties, he eventually completed junior high school in 2011.
