Oyedele Arrives Bangkok To Lead Nigeria’s Delegation To Imf/world Bank Annual Meetings
The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, has arrived in Bangkok, Thailand, ahead of the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Group, where he will lead Nigeria’s delegation.
Scheduled for October 12 to 18, the meetings bring together finance ministers, central bank governors, development partners and other global economic decision makers to discuss global economic developments, financing priorities and strategies for sustainable growth.
In a statement on Sunday, Efe Ovuakporie, Head information and PR Unit noted that for Nigeria, the meetings come amid ongoing efforts to strengthen macroeconomic stability, attract investment and ensure that economic reforms translate into productive activities, expanded business opportunities and jobs.
Oyedele’s participation provides an opportunity for Nigeria to engage with international financial institutions and development partners on issues relevant to the country’s economic priorities and its place in the global economy.
