One dead, one in critical condition in double stabbing on Indianapolis’ northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead and another is in critical condition after a double stabbing on Indianapolis’ northwest side, police say.

Police say that officers responded to the 2700 block of Lakeshire Ln. at around 12:30 Sunday. Once officers arrived, they found two people with injuries consistent with stab wounds.

According to police, one person was pronounced dead at the scene and another was transported by medics to an area hospital in critical condition.

Police say they detained a person at the scene.
