Oba Femi Recalls His ‘I’m The One’ Promo To Paul Heyman: I Was Telling Him And Everybody Sitting Backstage To Forget Everybody Else, I’m The Real Deal
Oba Femi knew he’d exceed everyone’s expectations.
Despite The Vision’s interference at Money in the Bank, Oba Femi managed to defeat Bronson Reed. It wasn’t that long ago that Femi was signed by WWE through their NIL program, but in a short period, he’s become one of the most memorable names in pro wrestling today.
During the post-show for the event, Femi was asked if he always knew things would go this way.
“I always knew, because I was bred for success. Like I said, preparation. I’m well prepared. I’ve been prepared. I remember I cut this promo to Paul Heyman and I said, ‘I’m The One.’ That wasn’t just a promo. I was telling him and I was telling everybody sitting backstage in Gorilla that was listening. Like, no, no, no. Forget all the second generation guys that you’ve brought up and you’ve given everything. Forget everybody else. This is the real deal. This is the man who has prepared all his life. He has come through. He has fought. He has failed. He has fallen, but he is still here. My battle scars are calloused and healed. Nothing can get through me.”
Elsewhere in the post-show, Femi called out Roman Reigns. Fans can read his full comments here.
