NPP directs prospective parliamentary aspirants to cease all campaign activities

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has directed all prospective parliamentary aspirants, their agents and supporters to immediately cease all campaign activities, warning that those who violate the directive could face disciplinary action that may affect their eligibility to contest.In a statement dated October 11, 2026, and signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party said it had received numerous complaints that some members seeking to contest parliamentary primaries had begun campaigning in various constituencies.
