Nollywood actor Harry Anyanwu hails Mahama as Africa’s best president
Nollywood actor and musician Harry B. Anyanwu has praised President John Dramani Mahama, describing him as the best president in Africa and urging other leaders on the continent to emulate his approach to governance.
The veteran Nigerian entertainer made the remarks while filming A Journey to Africa, a cross-border movie project led by Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, in the Western Region.
“Ghana, your president is the best in Africa. Mahama is the best in Africa. He’s doing what other presidents are supposed to do. Let them copy him,” Harry B. Anyanwu said.
His comments coincided with celebrations of his 67th birthday on the movie set, where Lil Win surprised him with stacks of US dollar bills as cast and crew members cheered.
The actor expressed admiration for Ghana’s leadership and hospitality, calling on other African presidents to learn from President Mahama.
During the filming, Lil Win also disclosed that he had initially planned a courtesy visit to the Jubilee House for the Nigerian actors to meet the President.
However, filming commitments in Nzulezu required the meeting to be rescheduled to coincide with the film’s official premiere in Accra.
A Journey to Africa has brought several prominent Nollywood actors to Ghana, including Patience Ozokwor, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Mike Ezuruonye and Zubby Michael.
