Man Of God Who Allegedly Murdered A 4 Month Old Baby After Raping His Mother Has Been Arrested

A 36-year-old alleged pastor wanted in connection with the murder of a four-month-old baby and the alleged rape of the infant’s 43-year-old mother has been arrested following an intensive police investigation.

The suspect was arrested on Saturday afternoon, 10 October 2026, at Diepsloot, bringing a significant breakthrough in a case involving deeply disturbing allegations of violence against a mother and her young child.

According to information released about the arrest, detectives worked alongside Crime Intelligence to track down the wanted man after an investigation into the incident. He was eventually found hiding in a backroom in Diepsloot informal settlement, where he was reportedly discovered with injuries.

The circumstances surrounding his injuries have not yet been detailed, and it remains unclear whether they are connected to the alleged crimes or the events leading up to his arrest.

The arrest brings the total number of suspects apprehended in connection with the case to three. The suspect’s two wives were previously arrested and appeared before the Atteridgeville Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 9 October 2026.

Their court appearance marked an earlier development in the investigation, which has now resulted in the arrest of the third suspect.

The 36-year-old man is expected to appear before the Atteridgeville Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 12 October 2026, where the case is expected to proceed through the legal process.

The allegations against the suspect are extremely serious, particularly given the age of the deceased child and the reported sexual violence against her mother. However the accused remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Police investigations are expected to continue as authorities work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and determine the respective roles, if any of those arrested.

The latest arrest represents an important development in the investigation with the suspect now expected to face the judicial process over the allegations against him.
