Man killed after being struck by car on K-7 in Bonner Springs Saturday night

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 24-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a car on Kansas Highway 7 Saturday night in Wyandotte County.

The incident was reported just before 8 p.m. on northbound K-7, just north of N. 130th Street.

The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) reports the driver of a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro was traveling northbound on K-7 when a man crossed the roadway and was struck by the car.

The 35-year-old male driver of the Camaro was not reported to have any injuries.

The person struck was pronounced dead at the scene and identified as Dakota Panzica, 24, of Springfield, Missouri.

According to social media posts by the Bonner Springs Police Department, K-7 was shut down between State Avenue and 130th Street for about 3 hours while emergency crews worked the scene.
