Man dies after entering tiger enclosure at UK Wildlife Park

Police said they received reports of the incident at approximately 1:35 pm on Saturday, October 10. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but the man was pronounced dead despite efforts by medical personnel.
Authorities confirmed that the tiger was not injured during the incident and remained inside its enclosure. Police also said there was no wider risk to public safety.
The manâs family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers, police said, expressing condolences to the family during the difficult time.
Following the incident, the wildlife park was evacuated as a precaution. In a statement, Yorkshire Wildlife Park confirmed that a serious incident had occurred at one of its tiger enclosures and that its emergency response procedures had been activated immediately.
The park subsequently announced that it would remain closed for the rest of Saturday and throughout Sunday.
Police have also urged the public not to share distressing footage of the incident circulating online, appealing for sensitivity and respect for those affected.
