Man dies after being attacked by tiger at Wildlife Park in England
0A man who was "mauled" by a tiger after leaping into its enclosure at a zoo has died following a swift and ferocious attack by a large Siberian tiger. Video footage circulating on social media captures the terrifying moment the tiger strikes from behind as the victim kneels on the ground. The tiger sinks its teeth into his back as he cries out, mauling him before standing over his motionless body.
The park reportedly houses two tigers – a female named Tschuna and a male named Altai – who arrived in March last year, according to the Daily Mail.
In the video, the man can be heard shouting "no" and raising his index finger as if to admonish the animal, while horrified onlookers can also be heard screaming.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service was dispatched to the wildlife park at 1:33 pm on Saturday after receiving reports of the incident. South Yorkshire Police confirmed it had "received reports of a man entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park".
"The tiger has subsequently attacked the man, and this has resulted in serious injury," officers stated, adding that they were working to notify the man's next of kin. A spokesperson also confirmed that the tiger "remained in the enclosure" and that there was "no wider risk to the public."
Yorkshire Wildlife Park was immediately evacuated and remained closed for the remainder of the weekend, according to authorities and park officials.
The facility, situated near Doncaster, issued a statement saying: "Our emergency response procedures were immediately activated, and emergency services are currently attending the scene. We are working closely with the authorities to ascertain exactly what happened."
Witnesses reported that "black screens" were erected around the enclosure following the incident. The tiger habitat was subsequently cleared and closed for the day.
A park statement acknowledged that a "serious incident" occurred today at the tiger enclosure, stating: "Our emergency response procedures were immediately activated, and emergency services are currently attending the scene."
Dominic Ford, a visitor who was at the park this afternoon with his four-year-old niece, was ordered to evacuate.
Ford told the Daily Mail that personnel remained "calm" during the emergency. An air ambulance, ambulance, and "a hell of a lot of police came," Ford noted.
Armed keepers allegedly used gas canisters to force the big cat back into its habitat, which has now been hidden behind a large black privacy barrier.
