Officers were called to Ravenstone Road in Heather, near Coalville, just after 22:00 BST on Wednesday after damage was caused to the window of a house and a car parked outside the property.

Leicestershire Police said the damage was "consistent with a firearms discharge".

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence on Saturday and remains in custody.

The force said inquiries into the incident were ongoing and officers from the Complex Investigation Team (CIT) were continuing to appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
