Lizzy Anjorin issues cease-and-desist notice to Iyabo Ojo
A cease-and-desist notice has been issued to Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, her daughter Priscilla Ojo, and over 100 bloggers and social media personalities over alleged defamation and cyberbullying.
The notice was issued by another Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, Chief (Dr) Lizzy Anjorin-Lawal, in legal notices dated October 3, 2026, through her lawyers, A.U. Enahoro, Bayo Akinlade and A.U.E. Ogboi, requesting the immediate removal of all allegedly defamatory content, a public retraction and an apology.
Dr Anjorin-Lawal is equally demanding the sum of ₦50 million in damages from each of the affected individuals and platforms if they fail to comply within seven days.
In the notice, those served include Iyabo Ojo, Priscilla Ojo, Gistlover, Amebohotgist, PauseandponderTV, Alujo TV, Alaroye TV, Tosin Silverdam Media Blog, TVCNewsNg, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, Izzy Ogbeide, Miss Debby TV, Germany Boss Lady TV, Esabod Tokunbo Aboderin, and several others, including Akeem Akintola Olalekan Taoreed, Olu Olowogemo Harejan, Adewunmi Fatai and Olabanji Farms.
Anjorin-Lawal, through her legal team, particularly accused the recipients of publishing false and malicious content about Lizzy Anjorin, her family and her businesses to attract traffic and generate revenue on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
The legal team also alleged that some of the accused persons made unproven criminal allegations against their client during live broadcasts without any police report or court judgment to support their claims.
They insisted that the publications had exposed the actress to public ridicule, damaged her reputation and undermined confidence in her business interests.
Anjorin-Lawal’s legal team issued a seven-day ultimatum to the affected bloggers and vloggers to permanently delete all disputed posts, videos, live broadcasts and reposts; publish a public retraction and apology with the same prominence as the original defamatory posts; and provide a written undertaking to desist from further defamatory publications.
The notice warned that failure to comply would lead to legal action seeking ₦50 million in damages per person, a perpetual injunction against further publication, recovery of litigation costs, and a petition to security agencies for criminal investigation and prosecution.
As of the time of filing this report, Iyabo Ojo, Priscilla Ojo and the other parties named had not publicly responded to the cease-and-desist notice.
