Belgian forward of Ghanaian descent, Jeremy Doku was on target on Sunday as he helped Manchester City to thump Liverpool 3-0 in the English Premier League.

The exciting winger missed out on a starting role in the Week Six fixture but managed to affect the game when he was introduced in the 56th minute to replace Illiman Ndiaye.

In a game that did not produce any goals in the first half, the contest turned in Manchester City’s favour in the 62nd minute when Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch was sent off after receiving a second yellow card for a foul.

The dismissal left Liverpool facing an uphill battle, and City wasted little time taking advantage of their extra man.

Striker Erling Haaland broke the deadlock three minutes later, reacting quickest to a rebound inside the penalty area before firing a low shot into the bottom-left corner to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.

Then later in the 68th minute, substitute Jeremy Doku had his say in the game to give the visitors more control.

The forward controlled an excellent pass with an impressive first touch before unleashing a powerful effort from the edge of the penalty area into the top-right corner.

Manchester City continued to press for more goals and were rewarded in the 78th minute.

Josko Gvardiol played an incisive through ball into the penalty area for Rayan Cherki, who finished with a low shot into the middle of the goal to make it 3-0.

From there, Manchester City enjoyed themselves and saw out a resounding victory to secure all three points.
