Gabriel Jesus Sends Strong Message After Scoring In Barcelona’s 3-0 Win Over Getafe

Gabriel Jesus has expressed his delight at life in Barcelona after scoring in the club’s 3-0 victory over Getafe, insisting that winning trophies remains the priority as the Catalan side continue their impressive run.

According to a report by Barca Universal on Saturday, 10 October 2026, the Brazilian striker praised his team-mates, manager Hansi Flick and the attacking quality of the squad following his first start for the club since joining from Arsenal during the summer transfer window.

Barcelona returned to action after the international break with a convincing performance at the Spotify Camp Nou.

Anthony Gordon opened the scoring early before Jesus doubled the advantage ahead of half-time. Jules Kounde completed the victory in the second half after connecting with a cross from Lamine Yamal.

The result extended Barcelona’s winning streak to eight matches in La Liga and nine across all competitions, underlining their strong start to the campaign.

Jesus, who has scored three goals since arriving from Arsenal, was pleased with his experience at the Spanish champions and described playing for the club as a personal ambition fulfilled.

“Being at Barça is a dream. I’ve already said it,” the striker said, as quoted by AS.

The Brazilian also highlighted the quality of his team-mates, explaining how Barcelona’s possession-based approach creates opportunities for forwards.

“Playing with these players is very easy. Always having the ball. This makes it much easier for a striker like me to create chances.”

Jesus also praised Flick for building confidence within the squad, while expressing concern over the absence of Raphinha, who is currently recovering from an injury.

“I think he gives all of us players a lot of confidence. We’re playing very well. But I hope Raphinha recovers quickly – we really miss him,” he said.

Despite having represented teams capable of scoring regularly, Jesus believes Barcelona have the quality to maintain their attacking standards and compete for major honours.

“I’ve played for teams that scored lots of goals. Now I’m at another one that does the same. Let’s keep scoring and winning titles – that’s what matters most.”

Barcelona now face a demanding period, beginning with their UEFA Champions League meeting against Galatasaray before subsequent fixtures against Real Betis, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
