Swedru All Blacks winger Eric Wiafe Darkwah has praised the determination of his teammates after their narrow victory over Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.

The youngster converted a penalty in stoppage time on Saturday to secure all three points for his side when they hosted the Porcupine Warriors at Wenchi Stadium in their Week Six fixture.

After being named Man of the Match, Eric Wiafe Darkwah indicated that staying determined and compact throughout the game was crucial to the victory.

“As a team, you have to be determined and compact. We came into this game knowing we have beaten Kotoko before, so we knew we could beat them. In football, you must never give up. Every match, we must believe as players that the chances will come and we can win. That is what happened today,” the talented winger said in his post-match interview.

Following the win against Asante Kotoko, Swedru All Blacks have moved to eighth position in the Ghana Premier League standings, level on points with Asante Kotoko [8] but ahead on goal difference.

In the next round of league matches, Swedru All Blacks will face Karela United, while Asante Kotoko host Young Apostles.
