EPL Table After Crystal Palace Won 3-1

According to a report by BBC Sport on Sunday, October 11, 2026, Crystal Palace came from behind to secure a 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forest after conceding an early goal in their encounter.

Daichi Kamada, Jefferson Lerma and Yeremy Pino found the net for Palace as the hosts recovered from a difficult start to claim all three points.

Nottingham Forest made a strong start when Dan Ndoye confidently finished inside the penalty area to give the visitors the lead in the third minute. Palace responded by increasing their attacking pressure, with Jorgen Larsen testing goalkeeper Matz Sels, who made important saves to keep Forest ahead.

The hosts eventually drew level in the 41st minute when Kamada fired the ball inside the left post. Palace continued to push forward and completed their comeback just before halftime, with Lerma heading home from a corner in the 45+4th minute.

Forest attempted to fight back after the interval, creating chances through Morgan Gibbs-White, Ola Aina and Ndoye. However, their efforts lacked the necessary accuracy, while Palace goalkeeper Walter Benitez remained alert to deny the visitors further opportunities.

Palace strengthened their advantage in the 59th minute when Pino collected a rebound inside the penalty area and fired into the bottom-right corner to make it 3-1.

Despite trailing by two goals, Forest continued searching for a way back into the contest. Their efforts proved unsuccessful, with Benitez producing another important save in the 81st minute to deny Chris Wood’s close-range header.

Both teams made substitutions as the match progressed, but Forest were unable to find another goal. Palace maintained their defensive organisation throughout the closing stages to secure the victory.

The result demonstrated Palace’s ability to recover from an early setback and take advantage of crucial scoring opportunities. Kamada, Lerma and Pino delivered the decisive goals, while Benitez’s important saves helped the hosts preserve their lead and claim all three points.
