ECG attributes power outages in parts of Ashanti Region to fault at Anwomaso BSP

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has attributed power outages affecting parts of the Ashanti Region to a technical challenge at the Anwomaso Bulk Supply Point (BSP).

In a notice issued on Sunday, October 11, 2026, the company said the fault was responsible for the interruption in electricity supply across parts of the region.

ECG assured affected customers that its engineers were working to rectify the problem and restore power.

The company apologised to customers and the general public for the inconvenience caused by the outage.
