“Dr. Bawumia Will Never Be President; Chiefs Should Banish Me If He Wins” – Prophet Thomas Iddrisu

According to a report by GH One TV on Sunday, October 11, 2026, Prophet Thomas Iddrisu has made a strong declaration about the political future of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, insisting that the former Vice President will never become President of Ghana.

The prophet reportedly made the statement while expressing his views on Ghana’s political future. His remarks have attracted attention because of the strong words he used to support his prediction about Dr. Bawumia’s chances of becoming President.

Prophet Thomas Iddrisu went further to declare that traditional leaders should banish him from their lands if Dr. Bawumia eventually becomes President. His statement appeared to show the level of confidence he has in his prediction.

The comments come as political discussions continue over the future of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its plans for the 2028 general elections. Dr. Bawumia, who served as Vice President under former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is the NPP’s flagbearer for the 2028 elections.

His selection has placed him at the centre of discussions about the party’s chances of returning to power after losing the 2024 general elections to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Prophet Iddrisu’s statement adds to the growing public debate surrounding the upcoming elections and the possible outcome of the presidential contest.

However, his declaration remains a personal prediction and does not determine the outcome of the election. The Electoral Commission will officially declare the winner after the votes have been cast and counted.

The name of Prophet Thomas Iddrisu’s church could not be independently verified, so it has not been included to avoid publishing inaccurate information.

Note: I could not verify the name of his church from the available search results. If you share his church’s name or a link to the original GH One TV report, I can include it accurately.
