Danville man killed in crash near Moulton

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. (WAFF) – A man was killed in a crash near Moulton on Saturday.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency officials said that the single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Troopers said that 62-year-old Timothy R. Brown, of Danville, was fatally injured when the SUV that he was driving left the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned. Authorities said that Brown was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred on Lawrence County 460 near Lawrence County 168, less than one mile west of Moulton.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating the crash.
