Celina man sentenced to life in prison for 2024 murder

CELINA, Texas (KXII) – 55-year-old Karl Stanley has been sentenced to life in prison after a jury found him guilty of capital murder in the killing of a woman in her home.

Celina police said Stanley broke into the woman’s home and attacked and killed her in November 2024.

Court records show Stanley had been arrested at the home two days before the killing and charged with stalking. Police said the two knew each other but did not disclose the nature of their relationship.
