Azania Jazz Co. Expands 2026 Discography with βWhat Africa?β
Azania Jazz Co. has officially dropped their third studio project of 2026, titled What Africa?. Following their earlier releases Afro Jazz Nights and Between Africa’s Rivers, the project reinforces the collective’s high creative output throughout the year.
The album arrives with an eye-catching visual identity that features monochrome static on a vintage television screen paired with traditional patterned garments. On the audio front, What Africa? moves away from mid-tempo acoustic soundscapes into a high-octane mix of house music percussion, club-ready basslines, and traditional gospel harmonies.
The tracklist includes 13 titles: “Free at Last, Broke at Last”, “Constitution”, “Helicopter”, “Prosperity Gospel”, “Another Church?”, “Cold Drink”, “Door to Door”, “Madlanga”, “Xenophobia”, “Abahambe!”, “Mhondoro”, and “Nashi Nashi”. The band keeps the focus entirely on the sound, allowing listeners to experience the album as an undivided whole.
What Africa? is currently available for streaming and digital download worldwide.
