'Boat carrying 350 from Djibouti to Yemen capsizes off Obock'
At least 139 migrants, including 20 children, have died after a boat sank off the coast of Djibouti, while about 84 people remain missing.
According to a statement by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), survivors said the boat, which was carrying 350 people from Djibouti to Yemen, capsized north of the Djiboutian town of Obock.
Alexandre Coissac, the IOM’s chief of mission in Djibouti, termed the incident as a tragic loss of life.
“Our thoughts are with the survivors and the families who have lost loved ones or are still waiting for news of their relatives,” he said.
