2Days After Our Children Got Kidnapped The Kidnappers Had Audacity To Ask Us To Give Them Food—Hayab

John Hayab, a Baptist pastor and chairman of the Northern Christian Association of Nigeria, has spoken about the kidnapping of students from Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna State in 2021

In an interview with News Central TV, Hayab said the kidnappers contacted the students’ parents just two days after abducting the students and demanded food supplies. He said he was surprised that the kidnappers could make such a demand while they were supposed to be fleeing from security operatives

According to Hayab, the kidnappers even had the audacity to state the type of food they wanted. He said kidnapping has become rampant and the government should take necessary actions to curb kidnapping in Nigeria

In Hayab’s words: “If you recall when our children were kidnapped, two days after the kidnap the kidnappers had the audacity to ask us to give them food. And I asked myself these kidnappers are supposed to be on the run, they don’t have the grace to even ask for food. But because nobody was pursuing them that is why they could ask us to give them food and even tell them the kind of food we should give them”
